Release v0.19.0 - 2026-10-31
Highlights
- Sozo now checks request size before generating data and explains when a schema requires a smaller batch.
API Changes
- Changed:
POST /v1/sozo/generatereturns HTTP 400 when a request exceeds its size limits. A generation-budget error states the maximum number of records allowed for that schema.
SDK + MCP Changes
MCP Server
- MCP server v0.17.0 documents the Sozo request limits in the
sozo.generatetool.
Breaking Changes
- The maximum number of records per request is now 100,000, down from 1,000,000. Wide schemas, long values, and correlations can lower that allowance further.
- Requests support at most 256 columns and 64 correlations. Column names and selected preset names are limited to 128 UTF-8 bytes; column specifications are limited to 4,096 bytes, and generated strings to 4,096 characters.
- Combined column-name, specification, correlation-key, and correlation-direction metadata is limited to 65,536 UTF-8 bytes.
Migration Notes
- Reduce the requested record count to the maximum reported in the error, or use fewer columns or shorter values. Retrying an unchanged oversized request will continue to return HTTP 400.
Documentation Updates
- API documentation describes the limits and clarifies that a nonempty custom schema takes precedence over a preset name.
